Here's a nice one, today i had a client call me and could not get there Vodacom Email to work, quickly and effortlessly we found the problem, the username an general is your vodacom cell number and a pin code like your cell's, any way the directions for the setup sent via Vodacom is very misleading, you have to use the international code in front of your cell number as a username, eg instead of 082xxxxxxx the format need's to be 2782xxxxxxx and off you go, I have included the detailed step by step instructions off Vodacom's website below.

You can access your e-mail account using a WAP enabled cellphone. Simply go to the browser on your cellphone and type in the following address: http://www.vodacom4me.co.za, once the main menu has loaded click on the e-mail link.
The following e-mail functionality is available:
- send an e-mail to one or many recipients, this can be a message only, attachments cannot be added.
- add and select a recipient/s from the current vodacom4me Address book quick links.
- add e-mail addresses to the vodacom4me Address book;
- add one of two e-mail Signatures
- receive e-mails only:
- view and perform following actions on current open e-mail:
- Reply
- Reply all
- Delete
- Forward

E-mail client
Using any POP3 or IMAP4 e-mail client
After setting up your personal Vodacom e-mail account in your favorite POP3 or IMAP4 compliant e-mail client e.g MS Outlook, the following e-mail functionality is available:
- send an e-mail to one or many recipients, this can be a message only or could include attachments as well.
- add and select a recipient/s from the integrated e-mail client contacts or address book
- add e-mail addresses to the integrated e-mail client contacts or vodacom4me address book;
- choose and automatically or manually add any of the pre-configured e-mail signatures
- receive e-mails and view attachments:
- view and perform following actions on current open e-mail:
- Reply
- Reply all
- Delete
- Forward
- Mark as spam
- view and save any attachments (subject to the appropriate software packages being available on the computer).
- create various folders and subfolders and store e-mail received in appropriate folders.
To set up a new account in your e-mail client, the following settings should be entered:

Step 3: Configure your email client.
Microsoft Outlook 2003:
Open Microsoft Outlook 2003. Click on the Tools menu, and then on the E-mail Accounts option. Next, select the “add new email account optionâ€.
Select POP3 and click the Next button.
Now fill in the following Details:
- Your name and email address.
- For the Pop3 server use pop3.vodamail.co.za and for the SMTP server setting, use smtp.vodamail.co.za
- Next insert your username (in the international format 27821234567) and password for your account as per the vodacom4me website.
- Then click Next and then Finished.
